The Filing Desk receives one specimen at a time. You sit across from it. You handle it. Note its weight, its odor, the way it refuses certain light. You consult the manual. You sign the form. RETURN, or QUARANTINE.

Custody is a single-specimen inspector loop set inside a bureaucratic horror agency. Twenty-five objects across five working days. Each one carries a curse you must identify by sensory trait alone. Never by guessing. Inspector Verlaine leaves daily notes showing cracks in the system.

Wrong custody decisions are not corrected. They accumulate. The office responds. A blood flash behind the eyes. Insects in the margins. A cursed field that bends what you can still see. PSX-flavored, low-resolution, organic. There is no timer. The pressure is consequence.

I really liked this. Mostly it was pretty straightforward, but the filing rules progressively get more complicated.

One thing I didn't understand was how to distinguish between the two music boxes in the registry. I got a mid-game case wrong when I quarantined a music box because I thought it was the one that had the symbol of a circle with a line through it, which was supposed to be quarantined regardless of status, but apparently it was the other one?

Thanks for playing glad you enjoyed it! Really good point about the music boxes that is definitely an oversight just pushed a new build that fixes this.

Cool game. I'm missing some images on day 4 though. It only loads the objects name. I'm able to use the spyglass on it and read the description but I cant see the item

Should be fixed now! Thanks for flagging
